I Want to Install a Ceiling Fan at Home. Should I Pick the Unit or Do You Provide It?
Unfortunately, Aces Electric does not sell any products, but we can provide some guidelines and tips on purchasing the right ceiling fan or other fixtures for your home. We can also make recommendations on where to purchase the quality fixtures or products you need at a reasonable. As soon as you receive your unit, contact our Stafford electricians to have it installed in a correct and timely manner.
Do You Sell Electrical Supplies?
During our installation or repair services, we provide commercial grade material necessary for the service such as wiring, outlets, or more. Unfortunately, we do not sell individual supplies, fixtures, or appliances. However, as we’ve mentioned earlier, we are more than happy to help you select any electrical supplies or fixtures that you may need by providing guidance and tips.
How Much Will an Electrical Service Cost? What are Your Standard Rates?
There are too many factors to a potential service or contract to list standard rates. Aces Electric, however, can provide you with free estimates that come with no obligation. We also provide an hourly rate for troubleshooting and other minor fixes. For your convenience, we accept major credit cards such as MasterCard, VISA, American Express, and Discover.
Do I Need Ditch Inspection Before Covering the Conduit?
Inspecting your ditch before covering the conduit is required as per the Virginia building code so the answer is yes. If you want your inspection done right, make sure to contact our Stafford electricians.
How Deep Does a Ditch Need to Be for Underground Wiring?
If your ditch is not deep enough, your underground wiring can easily be damaged by the elements outside. At Aces Electric, our standard is at 18 inches. If you want to ensure that your ditch is deep enough, don’t hesitate to call our Stafford electrical service team for help.
Is There a Difference between Meter Bases?
Yes, there is a difference since we have three types. These include overhead only, underground only, and overhead/underground combination. When you contact our Stafford electricians for meter bases installation, we can help you choose the right one for you. However, for underground installations, we don’t recommend combination boxes because of their limited wire space.
How Close Can I Build to a Primary Power Line?
If you are planning a new construction near a power line, we recommend a 60 feet right-of-way. This means that the building line is 30 feet from the center of the line. If you want to make sure that you are building at par with local industry standard and building codes, contact Aces Electric and we can provide a thorough inspection for you.
Can I Install Permanent Service if the House Has Had a Rough-in Inspection?
No, we do not recommend installing a permanent service or meter without a final inspection. There are instances, however, when a non-occupancy permit may be allowed from the local electrical inspector.
Do You Offer Outdoor Lighting Installation?
Yes. Aces Electric offers a wide range of lighting installation services for your home or commercial space. Whether you want decorative colonial, cobra head, directional floodlights, or security lights, we can help. Our Stafford electricians can even customize your outdoor lights according to your specific lighting needs.
